Meet Alia & Whit! Another couple that just booked me to photograph their Nashville wedding! We met for the first time at 6:00 in the morning on the Nashville Pedestrian Bridge in 33 degree weather and I just knew that I was going to really like them. If a couple can be sweet and easy going under those conditions, you know they are the ONE.... you want to work with. We started out at sunrise on the pedestrian bridge and then moved onto the restaurant in Sylvan park where Whit proposed. We finished off their session in front of Edley's, a place so dear to them that they named their puppy after it. They didn't bring Edley which is a strike against them, but I have faith that they will make it up to me.... I'm kidding. Or am I? Please enjoy their Sunrise Fall Engagement Session Sneak Peek! Franklin Fall Engagement Session - Morgan & Matthew

This past Sunday we spent some time in downtown Franklin and at Carnton Plantation taking their engagement photographs while also having an absolute blast. Meet Kaye and Edward one of my newest soon-to-be bride and grooms! I am so excited to be working with these two and equally as excited that we were able to sneak in an engagement session while they were briefly in town from New York. Despite the looming threat of rain we had some really fun hazy, golden fall light! You can't go wrong with a fun, good looking couple at Cheekwood! Tiffanie of Elliott Events told me that I was going to love these two and she was so right. Aleisha and Justin and I met for the first time at their engagement session and I instantly knew that they were going to be a lot of fun to work with. We started off the session at Noah Liff where we took advantage of the modern architecture. Don't you love Justin's red suit and Aleisha's classic black dress??? After that we moved on to the walking bridge to get some golden hour light with the Nashville Skyline. I'm so excited with what we got and cannot wait until their wedding! Childhood Home Farm Engagement Session - Anna & Josh

No this is not Sarah again. This is her identical twin sister Anna and her fiance Josh. I'm photographing both of their weddings next year and I'm so excited that I get to work with their families twice in one year!
For Anna and Josh's engagement session we met at the farm outside of Nashville, Tennessee where Anna and Sarah grew up. We crawled down to the creek, drove through fields, and pet cows. It was pretty fantastic. Josh came up with a new catch phrase for me to tell my couples to look at each other "lovingly and longingly". Please enjoy their engagement session at Anna's childhood home. I cannot imagine how amazing it was to grow up there!
Percy Warner Summer Engagement Session - Sarah & Mitchell

Sarah and Mitchell met through mutual friends while on vacation. Sarah was on a girls trip with some of her friends and Mitchell was on a guys trip. One night, the girls met up with the guys and after hanging out with Sarah for a bit, Mitchell was smitten. He pursued Sarah from a distance for a year before he moved to Nashville and a few weeks ago he proposed!
Last week we went to Percy Warner Park in Nashville to photograph their engagement session. Despite it being a humid and hot July day, they were both troopers! I can't wait to photograph your wedding next year, guys!

The day before Sarah and Simon's Backyard Wedding in Boulder, Colorado I photographed an In Home Lifestyle Session of the two of them in their living room. They had just come from the court house where they had a private wedding ceremony. They were "just married" giddy and kept trying out the terms husband and wife. It was incredibly sweet. Once we finished at the house we went to a nearby park and then the location of their first date! Of course we included the fabulous Rosie, the Min Pin baby of the family.

Fall is in the air today so I thought I would share Katie & Chester's Bicentennial Mall Engagement Session from last year. I also call this my "Fall in New York Session". This is based solely off of all the 90s romantic comedies that I watch…. way too much. This was obviously photographed not in New York, but Nashville and coincidentally, in the summer. I can dream, can’t I?!
Katie and Chester are incredibly cute, sweet, and hilarious. I loved this couple. I throughly enjoyed our entire session and their wedding that I shot this year with Stunning Events.

Before Christmas a couple years ago this very sweet couple, their adorable dogs, and I headed out to Leiper’s Fork outside of Nashville, TN to photograph their engagement session. That day Charlie and Gus told me that they were really excited that their mom and dad (Kathryn and Matt) were getting married. I whole heartedly agreed with them and I couldn't wait for their wedding. Their wedding day was gorgeous and I will be posting it in a couple days!

I'm working my way through everything that I've photographed the past couple years and we've reached Laura and Ben's engagement session! We decided to do some photographs on their front porch, on their street, a wine picnic at Harlinsdale Farm, and we finished off the session in downtown Franklin.

There are so many people that I know that walked down the aisle in 2015. I was so fortunate to be apart of their sessions and weddings. It was truly an honor. This is Sarah and John. Sarah and I were roommates for several years. She moved out, I got married, and she met John. When Sarah asked me if they could hire me to photograph their engagement session and wedding the answer was of course yes. Their engagement session was the first time that I met John and saw Sarah and him together. After the session, I texted Sarah and told her that I approved. There was no doubt in my mind that they were perfect for each other. We started their session at Rumours where they had their first date and then we finished with a beautiful January (a really warm January) sunset on the Walking Bridge.

When Meghann said that she wanted to do a Wes Anderson inspired engagement shoot, I was super excited. Meghann and Chris like to go camping and spend as much time outside as possible so they chose a favorite campground outside of Nashville, TN and set up a pup tent when they got there. This was all them! They came up with the whole concept. We had a gorgeous fall day with gorgeous fall light! Please enjoy!
Summer Storm Engagement Session - Hollie & Dusten

“We’re getting married again!” were the signs that Dustin and Hollie held in their engagement photographs. Dusten and Hollie were married at the courthouse a year before their formal wedding to help secure Dusten’s Green Card. They hoped he wouldn’t have to go back to Canada while Hollie, a U.S. Citizen, was finishing up school here. The day of their engagement session we were able to squeeze in their photos between a couple summer storms. These guys are super fun and the wet weather didn't phase them at all. Engagement Session at The Titans' Stadium - Nicole & Cal

Nicole and Cal meet each other at 35,000 feet. Nicole worked as a flight attendant for Delta and Cal has the really cool job of filming the Titans’ games. Nicole was part of the regular flight crew that took care of the Titans when they were in the air and the film crew travelled with the team. The two became acquainted over multiple cross country journeys and eventually Cal asked Nicole out. They are, no exaggeration, perfect for each other. For their engagement session, they pulled some strings and got us into Nissan Stadium to take some photographs to honor the team that brought them together.

I photographed this lovely engagement session the fall before the couple's March wedding. Ashton and Ruddy love the outdoors and really wanted a stream in their engagement session. After much searching the three of us this location via Yelp. Now you know the secrets of photographers. I loved this couple! Stay tuned for their wedding post!
