Working With Erin

After doing this full time since 2009, I've learned that communication is the most important part of my job. Whether it's managing expectations with what we can do with the time we have, telling you what angle your arm needs to be at during portraits, or talking a little louder — but nicely — during family photos so we can get you to your reception on time. Ninety percent of what I do involves communication.

I like to have a plan for your wedding day so that there is time for those beautiful, unplanned moments to actually happen. We'll talk about what is most important to you and build a schedule that fits your day.

Here's a secret — although honestly it's not much of one because I tell everyone: I hate having my photograph taken. I'm incredibly awkward in front of a camera. I'm pretty awkward behind it too but that's neither here nor there. What it means for you is that I understand exactly how you feel standing in front of that camera. I'll guide you through every pose — and sometimes the ones that feel a little awkward end up being the best ones in the gallery.

I'm basically the big sister you didn't know you needed on your wedding day — I'll hold your hand, tell you exactly what to do, and be honest with you when something isn't working.

No two weddings are the same. That's what keeps this interesting after all these years.
