Style Shoot - Romantic Garden Party at The Hermitage
A Romantic Garden Wedding Style Shoot at Andrew Jackson's Hermitage photographed by Erin Lee Allender of Nashville, Tennessee.
Last year Andrew Jackson’s Hermitage asked me to do the photography for a style shoot in the gardens of The Hermitage while VIP Wedding Open House was going on. The setup was GORGEOUS and besides the torrential downpour in the middle of of the shoot, we all had a blast. A huge shout out to Emily from The Hermitage for setting all of this up! Thank you to all of the fantastic vendors that participated and a huge thank you to the adorable couple Grace and Sammy for being my models. Below are some of my favorite images!

Romantic Cathedral of The Incarnation Wedding - Meghan & Jay
A romantic wedding at The Cathedral or The Incarnation photographed by Erin Lee Allender of Nashville, Tennessee.
I really loved working with these two. They are incredibly sweet and fun and it's so obvious how much they love each other. Meghan and Jay were married at The Cathedral of The Incarnation and their reception followed in the cathedral's banquet room. They looked stunning and the highlight of my year might have been watching Jay do the Nae Nae. Oh, and there were the absolute cutest flower girl and ring bearer! I hope you enjoy their Romantic Cathedral of The Incarnation Wedding!

A Bell Tower Wedding – Chelsey & Andrew
A romantic and homey wedding at the Vine Street Church and reception at The Bell Tower in Downtown Nashville, Tennessee photographed by Erin Lee Allender.
Chelsey and Andrew were married at Vine Street Christian Church and their reception followed at The Bell Tower. It was very obvious to me while photographing their wedding that these two just love being with each other. Notice how Chelsey is looking at Andrew in the shot above and notice Andrew’s face in the ceremony photograph. These two are sweet and laid back and everything about what they planned for their day showed it. Their reception was homey, warm and very romantic. They had several different food stations ranging from Chicken and Waffles, BBQ, A Grilled Cheese Station, and more so that guests could enjoy different things to eat. Beautiful low lighting with different color and design elements set a glow over the whole space. They also had some of the cutest kids in the wedding party that I have ever had (I know I say that all the time, but it’s true). I do not think there was every an empty dance floor all night and at one point all of the bride and groom’s college friends stared up a game of Thunderstruck which was a new to me but extremely entertaining. Please enjoy their photos and special thanks to their fantastic vendors- Vine Street Church, The Bell Tower, Infinity Events and Catering, Enchanted Florist, Kleinfeld Bridal, The Cupcake Collection, and DJ Rich.
Pi Pie at The Bridge Building - Erin & John
A pretty and romantic wedding at The Bridge Building in Nashville, Tennessee with a creative pi pie bar. Photographed by Erin Lee Allender.
Five minutes into our first meeting, I was already a big fan of Erin and John. Kind and goofy, they are a joy to be around. Erin and John were married at Calvary United Methodist in Nashville, TN where John’s mother is on staff. The day turned out to be rather rainy so we opted to do most of the photos in the church. John’s mother, Libby performed the ceremony and then it was off to The Bridge Building for their reception. They had little glimpses throughout the day into their goofy side (see their pi pie below) and John had Erin giggling her infectious little giggle all day long. They are just too cute and when I found out they were going to honeymoon at Harry Potter World, I was sold. Congratulations Erin & John! Luxury Garden Wedding - Barbaralee & Patrick
A luxury destination garden wedding at Belle Meade Plantation in Nashville, Tennessee. Photographed by Erin Lee Allender.
When the weather forecast was predicting a monsoon-like weekend, Barbaralee and Patrick resigned themselves to not being able to have the destination garden wedding at Belle Meade Plantation that they had been planning for the last year. But the sun came out and Patrick presented Barbaralee with the most incredible gift, a locket with photos of her parents that have passed away and everyone cried. Weddings are about creating a new family and their friends and family were more than willing to travel to another state to watch this sweet couple become one.
Special thanks to the wonderful people that made their day so incredible- Fete Nashville, Enchanted Florist, Dulce Desserts, Bright Event Productions, Visual Elements, Music City Tents and Events, Katie Russo Beauty, Vintage Vessels, With This Ring, Beyond Details, and Cosmo Creations.
Hops & Pinwheels at Front Porch Farms - Vannessa & Brent
A couple that owns a brewery has a wedding with nods to their occupation. Photographed by Erin Lee Allender at Front Porch Farms in Nashville, TN.
Vannessa and Brent are fantastic people. I fell in love with them during their engagement session and could not wait to photograph their wedding. They are just so much fun and personable and they did a beautiful job incorporating that into their destination wedding at Front Porch Farms. Vannessa picked bright colors, ribbons and pinwheels for their ceremony. At their reception they had a popcorn bar and “mad libs” for their guests to play. Because Brent owns a brewery, the groom’s and groomsmen’s boutonnieres where made up of hops. They also brought beer from the brewery to serve and the reception really got going when Brent jumped into the pool in his boxers. It was such a great day and I was so very fortunate to be a part of it.
