Nashville Cranberry Winter Wedding - Emily & Jamie
A destination wedding in Nashville, TN at Marathon Music works. The couple incorporated cranberries to add a subtle winter theme. Wedding portraits were photographed at the John Seigenthaler pedestrian bridge and Cumberland Park.
I met Emily several years ago at a friend and coworker's apartment that they shared where a bunch of girls were watching the CMA awards. Emily was fairly new here and was all about the Nashville Taylor Swift gossip. I liked her instantly. One day on Facebook I see a photo of a guy on one knee in Iceland in front of Emily and next thing I know Emily and I are talking about her wedding!
Until Emily and Jamie's rehearsal dinner, I had not met Jamie. During their toasts that night I saw the way he looked at Emily and it was so extremely obvious how he felt about her. Then I saw how Emily looked at Jamie and I knew without a doubt that these two were perfect for each other.
Emily and Jamie where married at Marathon Music Works this past Saturday. The couple met in Nashville and although they no longer live in this state, they consider it home. Before heading to the venue we started off photographs at Nashville's John Seigenthaler's Walking Bridge. We had perfect light with a really fantastic wedding party! The reception centered around the different places that they both have lived, Nashville, and a tasteful nod to winter with the color cranberry and actual cranberries throughout the decor. The highlight of the day was the reception where Emily and Jamie made sure their guests danced all night by hiring The Downtown Band. The floor was NEVER empty. This couple is so much fun and knows how to great time! Please enjoy Emily & Jamie's Nashville Cranberry Winter Wedding Sneak Peek!

Sneak Peek Elegant Cedarwood Garden Wedding - Sara & Connor
Photographs from an elegant garden destination wedding at Cedarwood in Nashville, Tennessee.
I just love these two! Sara’s smile lights up everything around her including a cloudy, raining wedding ceremony. Connor is just the absolute best = they are perfect together. Sara and Connor met while they were both with separate friend groups sitting at different tables at Patterson House. Connor was stationed in Clarksville and Sara was on vacation. Crazily, Sara and one of her bridesmaids both met their husbands that night!
Sara and Connor looked incredible on their wedding day and Historic Cedarwood looked stunning as always. The entire day was overcast and we were hoping that the rain would hold off until the reception but instead it decided to start raining right before Sara walked down the aisle. Sara and Connor were troopers and had their whole ceremony in the rain. They never complained once and STILL looked amazing afterwards. The rain ended almost as soon as we started their portraits leaving us with some really fun light to play with. By far my favorite moment was when Sara was walking down the aisle to Connor on her dad's arm. She started crying and then started apologizing to all her guests for it! It was adorable. Please enjoy this sneak peek of Sara and Connor's Elegant Cedarwood Garden Wedding!

Sneak Peek Riverwood Garden Wedding - Ashley & Mike
Families that have known each other forever are joined together when their children get married at Riverwood Mansion in Nashville, Tennessee. Photographed by Erin Lee Allender.
Ashley & Mike's families knew each other long before Ashley and Mike met. When they were in elementary school, their dads shared the same room for an office in the Pentagon, but Ashely & Mike didn't meet until high school. Mike eventually won Ashley's favor (which took some time) and they dated through high school and college, but life took them in different directions. Several years later they reconnected and started dating again. If you ever see Mike, ask him about it. He has a rather humorous and slightly embellished version of their rekindled relationship.
I loved these two as soon as I met them and their wedding day couldn't have been any more beautiful! It was amazing to see their relationship with their families and the friends that had become their family in all the different places they have lived. It was a gorgeous day and I am so happy that I got to be a part of it. Please enjoy this sneak peek of their Riverwood Garden Wedding.

Backyard Bonfire Wedding – Meg & Jake
An informal backyard wedding with a bonfire on the couple's property on the river in Adams, TN photographed by Erin Lee Allender from Nashville, Tennessee.
This is Meg & Jake’s beautiful backyard bonfire wedding. Meg & Jake met one another in the military as helicopter pilots. They are sweet, hardworking, extremely laid back, and so much fun. When I met Meg for the first time and heard all about their wedding plans I could not wait to photograph their wedding. Meg and Jake were already married but wanted to have a blessing ceremony on their property. They were going to have a reception that ended with everyone in their bathing suits swimming in the river behind their house. They were building a new house in Adams TN and they wanted everything to take place on their property. As 2015 progressed it became quite obvious that their house was not going to be done in time for the wedding. They would make it work. Then a couple weeks before the wedding, Jake and Meg were in a motorcycle accident and Jake broke his foot. He was in an extreme amount of pain. They pressed on. The day of the wedding was rainy and freezing. For a few brief moments we had sun, but through the rest of the day, it was wet and chilly. There wasn’t going to be any swimming in the river. None of this lowered their spirits. They were already married, the people they cared about were still coming, and they were going to enjoy it. Meg is from Texas and Jake is from Kentucky so their friends and family came from all over for their day.
There were definitely some things that had to change in their plans. Because their house was still inhabitable, Meg ended up getting ready at a local salon in an old schoolhouse in Adams. Jake was not able to walk or stand without being in a lot of pain so in hopes that he would make it through the whole day, we did only a few photographs of the two of them. Portraits we can always do, so I didn’t want to risk pushing him too much and having him not be able to enjoy his wedding. I will be doing more photographs once their house is done and he feels better. There were umbrella’s galore, winter wear, generators, and Jake spent most of his night in a golf cart. With the help of their fantastic vendors especially their planner, Stunning Events, everything turned out beautifully and everyone had a fantastic time.
