Drakewood Farm Bridal Session – Kristen
A bridal session with a beautiful bride with cap sleeve lace wedding dress at Drakewood Farm outside of Nashville, Tennessee photographed by Erin Lee Allender.
Here’s another Drakewood Farm bridal session! Kristen, her mom Kathi, and I ventured out to Drakewood to photograph her bridal session. I LOVED Kristen’s lace, cap sleeve dress and her whole look. It was classic and it was a lot of fun playing that up in her photos. Just wait until you see her gorgeous wedding!
Historic Home Bridal Session – Meg
Bridal Session at Antebellum Manor Drakewood Farm outside of Nashville, Tennessee photographed by Erin Lee Allender.
This is Meg and this is her bridal session at Drakewood Farm in Nashville, TN. Meg wanted some indoor and outdoor photos with a rustic flair. Drakewood Farm is on 40 acres and the antebellum house on the property was built in the 1850s. Meg, her mom Doris, and I enjoyed the beautiful decor on the inside of the house and the rustic beauty that is the rest of the property. I had beautiful light everywhere I turned and a gorgeous, low key, and happy bride! Please enjoy! The next blog will be Meg’s wedding images!
A Symphony Center Bridal Session – Laura
An elegant bridal session at Schermerhorn Symphony Center in Nashville, Tennessee photographed by Erin Lee Allender.
I love photographing bridal sessions! They are seriously one my favorite things to do. A lot of times I have to convince a bride to do one because they feel like it makes them vain. It doesn’t. Honestly, they are just so much fun. It’s a great way for me to get to know your personality even more, know how your dress moves, make sure your dress fits correctly (sometimes it suffocates you), see if you like your hair and makeup, and even do a trial run of your bouquet. Plus like I said, we have a blast. We only have a little bit of time to do bridal photographs on your wedding day so this gives us a lot of time to play around and get different looks and poses. Plus your mom loves them and someday your grandkids will look back at how gorgeous grandma was. This session was with Laura at The Schmerhorn Symphony Center in Nashville, TN and I was so happy with what we got. Stay tuned for her wedding in a couple of blog posts!
Spring Wedding at Loveless Barn - Hollie & Dusten
An already married couple plans a dedication ceremony at The Loveless Cafe in Nashville, Tennessee. The party almost doesn't happen when the Canadian groom can't get back into the US. Photographed by Erin Lee Allender.
Hollie and Dusten were both in pharmacy school at Belmont University but didn’t meet until they sat down next to each other at a pub in Nashville. With Dusten being from Canada and Hollie hailing from Georgia, their two upbringings couldn’t be anymore different, but they found a lot in common. In hopes of helping with Dusten’s work visa, The two married a year before they had their big “wedding” day. They had their party and marriage dedication ceremony at the iconic Loveless Barn in Nashville, TN. Loveless is known for their fantastic Southern cuisine and Hollie and Dusten wanted to show all their Canadian guests a true southern time.
This Nashville wedding should be titled “The Party That Almost Didn’t Happen”. A few days before the ceremony Hollie texted me saying that Dusten, a Canadian citizen, couldn’t get back into the U.S. and they might have to call their marriage dedication ceremony off. Thankfully at the last minute he made it when everything worked out, it became an even bigger celebration. I was so glad that I got to photograph this sweet couple and their celebration.
Special thanks to all the participating vendors – The Loveless Barn, Floral Expressions by Cindy and Pink Cadillac Band.
Lace & Lavender Interfaith Wedding - Robin and Shujah
An beautiful outdoor, spring, interfaith wedding at Cedarwood in Nashville, TN, complete with Flower Dog. Photographed by Erin Lee Allender.
Robin and Shujah are two of THE nicest people that you will meet. They met while both in medical school. They dated but felt that their differing faiths pulled them apart. Life just didn’t make sense without each other in and they reunited and later adopted their puppy Taj. They were married this spring at Historic Cedarwood in Nashville, TN. They had two ceremonies including a prior Muslim ceremony and the Jewish Ceremony at Cedarwood under the Chuppah. They chose to do the beautiful and meaningful Ketubah and Kiddish Ceremonies. There were lawn games, a bonfire, a cocktail hour in the barn with apple pie moonshine, and of course Taj the enchanting flower chihuahua. Robin wore a gorgeous gown from Olia Zavozina.
