Intimate Wedding in Historic Germantown - Tara & Justin

This past weekend Tara and Justin were married at the brand new 1212 Germantown in Nashville, TN and I LOVE the way they chose to spend their wedding day. They decided to only have their immediate family present for their ceremony and following the ceremony they had a private family style dinner. I love family style dinners! I love that the sharing and passing of food creates a sense of unity and fosters conversation. This wedding was also filled with the bride and groom's nieces and nephews so you also had the homey holiday-like feel of babies being passed from person to person and children laughing and playing. THEN you add to this an "after party" where the venue was opened up to 60 more of the bride and groom's friends and extended family. There was a DJ spinning vinyl with crates of albums for guests to choose from, a taco bar, and a ice cream cart. To top it all off, Tara and Justin are just two of the cutest and sweetest people that you could meet! Please enjoy the sneak peek of their Intimate Wedding in Historic Germantown.

Venue Feature – Long Hollow Gardens

I was able to visit Amy at Long Hollow Gardens and Nursery. Long Hollow Gardens (20 minutes outside of Nashville, TN) is a garden and nursery center, but they also do weddings. They offer several different settings: a greenhouse that can accommodate up to 300 guests, a wildflower meadow, a barn, and an 1880’s Historic Home. All of this is on 35+ acres in the beautiful countryside of Gallatin, TN. The Greenhouse is stunning and offers a romantic outdoor feel no matter what the weather. Venue Feature - The Mitchell House

Last Friday I had the opportunity to drive out to Lebanon to see The Mitchell House and visit with Susan Tindill Solbrig of Decadent Details. It's pretty spectacular and my brain couldn't help but go crazy with all different wedding photo opportunities inside and outside of the house. Here is more information from their website. 

"Constructed in 1906 and recently renovated, the Mitchell House entertains up to 150 guests for your indoor or outdoor wedding, reception, meetings, and other events with a warm atmosphere of hospitality. Guests are greeted by four columns that tower at the front of the majestic home. Upon entrance, the grand hall is an impressive sight with a grand stairway, consisting of two flights of steps coming together at one point. This magnificent expansive foyer can host sublime indoor affairs. The Ladies' Parlor is to the left, with hand-painted cloth above wood panels that is truly a masterpiece. On the right is the library and dining room. A lovely garden is available for outdoor ceremonies and receptions.
