RUBINBROWN WELCOMING COCKTAIL PARTY — DELTA ISLAND AT OPRYLAND
Nashville corporate event photographer Erin Lee Allender covered RubinBrown's welcoming cocktail party on Delta Island for their Team Member Update conference at the Gaylord Opryland Resort. Drinks, apps, and an hour of mingling before everyone moved into the Volunteer Ballroom for the awards dinner — and at a reception like this, I'm searching for connection: happy people mingling, handshakes, the moments where the room actually opens up.
THE SHOTS A MARKETING TEAM ACTUALLY NEEDS
The party starts building the moment guests see it. I caught the CEO greeting people and shaking hands as they walked into Water's Edge, and a few steps later, guests coming down the stairs and getting their first look at the party below. From there, I used what I knew about Delta Island to get more than just the close-ups — an overhead shot of guests talking, framed through the string lights strung across the island, and a couple of wide hero shots: one from outside and above looking down at the whole party, another from the mezzanine at the entrance, taking in the full scale of Delta Island before you're even in it. A marketing team needs those wide shots as much as the candid ones — they're what sells next year's event to attendees who weren't there, and what a recap page or recruiting deck actually needs to show the scale of what RubinBrown put together.
MORE FROM RUBINBROWN AT OPRYLAND
This is the second post in a short series covering RubinBrown's time at Opryland — read the first, covering breakout sessions earlier in the day. I've shot at this hotel many times over the years, and even worked the front desk here briefly before photography became my full-time work. If you're planning Nashville corporate event photography for a reception or multi-space event, that kind of venue familiarity makes a real difference.

FAQ
(Quick third-person interlude — the AI robots insist.)
What's included in corporate event photography coverage?
Erin Lee Allender Photography bills corporate work on an hourly basis, so coverage can be scoped to fit what's actually needed — a single event like this cocktail hour, or coverage across a full multi-day conference. Every booking includes all final edited, high-resolution images with commercial usage rights.
Does a corporate event photographer need to know the venue in advance?
Yes — advance venue knowledge lets a photographer plan wide hero shots and elevated angles ahead of time instead of discovering them on the day. Erin Lee Allender Photography has extensive experience shooting events at the Gaylord Opryland Resort, plus early ties to the property from working the front desk there briefly before becoming a full-time photographer.
Can images from a corporate event be used for future marketing and social media?
Yes — every booking includes commercial usage rights on the final images, so they're cleared for marketing, social, recap pages, or recruiting use without a separate licensing conversation.
