Nashville Family Photography | Golden Hour Session — Marcella Vivrette Smith Park, Franklin
EVERY YEAR SINCE A WAS BORN — A'S FAMILY SESSION IN FRANKLIN
I've photographed this family every year since A was born, starting before that with Amy and Adam alone — their engagement session, then their wedding at Belle Meade Plantation. I met A for the first time at her newborn session, and I've been back every year since, including her 2-year session at Marcella Vivrette Smith Park in Franklin. This one happened last summer, when A turned four, and I'm just now catching up on posting it along with several others from this past year.
STILL JUST AS SPUNKY
A has so much personality — and just the right amount of sass — that makes her one of my favorite kids to photograph. It shows up in every single image. I've always had a soft spot for kids with big personality. I don't know if it's because I was that kid myself, or because my son is exactly the same way and those genetics probably came from me, but I relate to them. They're never boring.
Toward the end of the session we climbed up to the high point of the trail to use it as a backdrop for a few last family frames, golden hour light behind us.
I've been photographing this family since before A was born — through their engagement, their wedding, her newborn days, and every year since. Watching a family grow like this, year after year, is why I love doing this work. I look forward to this session every single year.
