CBIZ NASHVILLE SUMMIT AT THE CONRAD

CBIZ brought their team to Nashville for a multi-day summit built around one goal: connection. As the Nashville corporate event photographer covering the event, my job was to document that goal in action — not just who spoke, but how the room engaged with each other between sessions. CBIZ's CEO opened the summit, and the days that followed were built around panels and fireside chats rather than a single stage carrying the whole event. CBIZ is a national provider of accounting, tax, benefits, and advisory services, and a summit like this is where that scale turns back into a room full of people who actually work together.

A LIVE SONGWRITING SESSION WITH JIMMY YEARY

One of the standout sessions was led by Jimmy Yeary, a Nashville songwriter behind hits like "I Drive Your Truck" and "Everything's Gonna Be Alright," who translates the collaborative process of songwriting into a framework for how teams work together. He pulled people up and had the room singing along and calling back — a lot more crowd interaction than a standard keynote, which meant working both ends of it: staying on my feet to catch reactions as they happened, and setting up for the moments I could see coming.

BREAKOUT SESSIONS AND WHY THIS CONTENT MATTERS

The real assignment was the space between sessions. Breakout exercises had people working directly with each other, and those close-up moments are what show connection. A multi-day summit like this generates a full year of content if it's shot right — recruitment materials, internal culture decks, sponsor recaps, next year's registration page — and that coverage has to prove both the caliber of the sessions and the culture behind the company running them.
