Tips Tuesday - Wedding Tip #2

wedding-tip

#TipTuesday. This applies to any indoor photo location, but is especially helpful for wedding getting ready photos.

If you are in the process of choosing your getting ready location, to get the BEST most beautiful getting ready photos, choose a location with window light and neutral-ish walls. A professional can make anything “sufficient”, but light is always key to getting great photos.

Try to avoid-
The church basement room with Noah’s Ark painted on the cinderblock walls. 🤢
The “green” room where the walls and the celling are painted in dark colors.😱
The boardroom with the low drop ceiling, the disgusting carpet, and the overpowering florescent lights.😭The room that has furniture EVERYWHERE except in one corner and that wall has a giant TV mounted on it.🤬

As professionals we’ve seen it all and we’ve made it all work, but if you have the ability to make a choice, make an informed one.

Here are a few reasons not to pick the BEST ROOM EVER-

1. You want to get ready in your family home and the decor is not neutral. Memories and sentimentality are important. We can make it work.

2. You don’t have room in your wedding budget. This is not a hill to die on. Making a wedding planner work in your budget is. Your getting ready room is not.

3. Logistically it is not going to work to get ready somewhere else. Don’t waste precious time during your day.

Just understand that everything comes down to hiring professionals and realistic expectations for your day
